Aces and sex

asexuals-exist:

•Some asexuals are sex repulsed and don’t want to have sex that’s ok
•Some asexuals have sex to reproduce that’s ok
•Some asexuals have sex because it’s pleasurable that’s ok
•Some asexuals have sex to make sure their partner is happy that’s ok
•Assuming that all asexuals will remain virgins their entire lives because they identify as asexual and tease them about it iS nOt Ok

People are individuals, don’t stereotype

Fire is the element of power. The people of the Fire Nation have desire and will, and the energy and drive to achieve what they want.

Earth is the element of substance. The people of the Earth Kingdom are diverse and strong. They are persistent and enduring.

Air is the element of freedom. The Air Nomads detached themselves from worldly concerns, and they found peace and freedom. And they apparently had pretty good senses of humor!

Water is the element of change. The people of the Water Tribes are capable of adapting to many things. They have a sense of community and love that holds them together through anything.

It is important to draw wisdom from different places. If you take it from only one place it becomes rigid and stale. Understanding others, the other elements, the other nations, will help you become whole. It is the combination of the four elements in one person that makes the Avatar so powerful. But it can make you more powerful, too.

in 11th grade art we had to make mythical creatures with clay but i didn’t want to do that so i made a log and added a lil worm friend on top of it but my teacher got mad and said i had to make it mythical so i added a horn to it and made it a uniworm

this is why art classes in schools suck. That is a bloody amazing log. look at the texture, the colour. The worm is incredible and the teacher is unhappy because it was supposed to be mythical? Who the fuck cares? will the teacher have their pay docked if a student makes a logworm instead of a basilisk???

This furthers the argument that school is about following instructions, not learning. That really is a great sculpture, by the way.

this is why i ended up hating art, my teacher would try and tell me what to do but i just told her i was doing it my way or itd just be the same as everyone elses

Jesus christ, what a load of bullshit.
Art class is no different from any other class you are taking. Art class is not “Let’s sit down and create anything I want.” In History, you are given a task, you follow it, you get graded. Art is no different. It isn’t playtime. It is a practical lesson but you still follow the task you are given.
Traditional education is about following a curriculum. You don’t just pick-and-choose when you’re given a task. If you want to create something unique, do it in your free time. I could bang out a pretty good essay on cartoons but that won’t get me a grade.
Right now, I am in art school and my current project requires me to draw a lot of scientific birds, plants and animals. If I handed in my own work - which was fantastic, beautifully drawn and absolutely marvelous - but completely irrelevant to what my task is, I would fail and probably get kicked off my course.
Next time, before you feel like flunking in art class, try and remember that you are IN SCHOOL and you can create and develop your own work in your free time.
